Today, I reached 41,731 words this month for NaNoWriMo, which means my novel has reached the 100,000 word milestone! It’s officially 100,048 words long! Yes, this is the first draft, which is very rough, needs a lot of editing, and I expect some of it will be cut down, but this is major! Last year, when I began NaNoWriMo2019 on November 1st, I had some character names decided on, some family and friend connections created, and a little research done on the town the story is set in, but no actual story words written.
I’m grateful for the gift of my imagination and also the people in my life who keep encouraging me to keep going! (You know who you are!)
